Guest Posting Guidelines

Each guest posting has a set of simple rules that needed to be followed for best readership.

Here are some of them:

  • Do not use word processors: Do not use word processors like Microsoft Word or Wordpad to compose your posts. It will bring un-necessary tags that will destroy the format of the posts.
  • Fill up WordPress Profile information : Your WordPress Profile information is necessary to create the author biography, so you need to fill up those details. Example below.
  • Credit Usage : Respect individual work of others and if your idea is derived from some one else’s work, it is generous of you to give credit. Same goes to images and photos which you use on your post.
  • Post Photo : It is essential to have a header photo (at the start of the post) that would not exceed the width and height of 550px X 90px. All photos and Images must be either JPG or PNG.
  • Inlcude Photos/Screenshots/Videos : Images and Photos speaks thousand words. Add relevant photos to make your post more visually appealing. You can find many photos at Flickr and Videos at YouTube. Photos and videos should be relevant to the post topic.
  • Self promotion : We are providing options to add a byline and also your profile data will be visible below your post. So don’t add anything for self promotion or promoting any paid or un-nesseary links. A link back to your site from a post is allowed but it should be related to the Topic you are writing
  • Copyright : Simple, Do not copy paste from other peoples work. Respect. In case we found out that you have been copying post from somewhere, we will instantly ban and remove of all your blog posts and comments together.
  • Comments : Keep the convesation running. Follow and Track your comments on your posts. Give valued replies. This will build your authority, help others and give you more exposure.

Fill up your Profile information

Your WordPress Profile data is used for arranging and creating your biography for your Posts. So it is utmost important that you fill up that profile information as soon as you register and validate yourself.

Part 1 : Your name and Nickname


Note: nickname can’t have a space inside
 
 
 

Part 2 : Contact Information


Note: AIM field is used for holding your TWITTER ID (eg: yourid )

Your post structure

Your post should at least have 2 parts. First part should be a teaser paragraph and second part should be the rest of the content.

Here is how a post should be structured:

  1. Header Image or Photo to represent the post. Not more than 550px (width) X 90px (height). (Necessary)
  2. Post teaser paragraph also known as excerpts. (Necessary)
  3. Insert MORE tag (Necessary)
  4. Another Image/Photo (not more than 550px width)
  5. Another paragraph (Necessary)
  6. A list
  7. Another paragraph
  8. Conclusion or post footer

It is not necessary to follow the exact structure but you get the idea. Take a look at the sample images below.
