Petrol Price Increase up to 40% at Malaysia June 2008

Today evening the so called rumor came to life. Yes, Petrol price, diesel price has been increased by 40%-50% by midnight. Hundreds of thousands of cars queue at all the petrol stations around city and other places. It had been rumored that petrol price will go up by august 2008 but it seems government politicians has their wide sense of humor to play with citizens lives. It has been announced at TV today evening by the Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia that petrol price will increase by 40% totaling per liter of petrol to RM2.70 and diesel to RM2.58. Well Malaysians should start doing their dance that it’s still cheaper in the Asia.. Nuff said. It will effect every single person, objects and equipments around the country. Expect a price burst as soon as next 5 - 15 days time. The Government sector salary has been increased few months before but not the private sector. All the private sector Employee will have a real bad time ahead of them. All the food, consumer product prices will go up by 20%-70%. Each middle class families will have a real hard time to cope up with the pricing.

Hey suddenly something choked on my mind.. Have you guys watched “Transformers” ? Do you remember in the movie there was a scene; the sector 7 guy while he was showing the badge to Sam and the Girl and told them that’s the “Do anything and get away with it” badge. I don’t know why that scene suddenly appear in my mind.. Anyway

Here are the Facts and Subsidy Details:

• RM625 will be returned to the car owners of below 2000cc engines, they will send out the subsidy repayments to the owner whenever they renew the roadtax.
• 2500cc pick up trucks also falls under the subsidy
• Motor bikes under 250cc will get a rm150 subsidy per year
• Roadtax will be reduced for those who doesn’t come directly under subsidy, reduced roadtax by rm200 for engines above 2000cc
• Roadtax will be reduced for motorbikes above 250cc by rm150

PIKOM PC Fair 2008 April Malaysia

I went to the PC fair as usual, it started from April 11th until April 13th. Prices seems to be went down a little bit more. The hot cakes were the gadgets - USB disks, mp3/mp4 players, laptops, desktops, PC accessories, digital cameras, audio equipments, LCD monitors and so on. As usual all the Internet service providers also there and they came up with promotions and sort of stuff. Was surprised to see Acer is offering Laptops for RM1499, yeah I know it’s not the High End laptop but it do have 1GB DDR2 ram and 120GB sata drive. Intel was offering promotional prices for their processors but still the Core 2 Duo processor and Core 2 Quad processor prices didn’t went down that much. Sony offered 32″ Bravia LCD TV series for RM2099 and RM220+ for DVD players. My friend can’t resist and he swiped the credit card for good = bought it. USB flash disks are everywhere, I got a 8GB USB disk for RM90, just for the info DO NOT buy Kingston flash disks, their product way out of order these days, actually I was looking for Corsair flash disks but anyway I got mine is Transcend JetFlash v30, supports windows security using the disk plus a downloadable utility to sync your documents, email, bookmarks while you are on the move. For best quality USB disks get a Corsair for optimal performance, other than that you can choose APACER, SANDISK U3, TRANSCEND, PENDRIVE etc.

One Rich food Sunday

Well this weekend was not so happening one but i already need to move my room and i needed to get some things for my new room. Specially a good quality curtain and some other stuff. So i called up deni and arranged with him that I’ll drive to his place and we will take his car and go to 1 Utama shopping center, especially in Jusco we went and look for the curtain and we found few there but OMG the good quality curtains all so damn expensive lol. Anyway i manage to get a descent quality curtain for a 4 panel window costed me about RM100. Well the whole i day i was having some headache which is quite annoying. Anyway after we bought some things we were hungry cause the whole day never ate anything and it almost 7pm .. whew.. So deni came up with the idea to go and eat at Kenny Rogers Roasters. We took the Kenny Quarter Meals with 3 side dishes including Fresh Fruits, Macaroni with cheese, rice, BBQ baked beans and chocolate muffins.

That was one good and delicious meal we had. Then we walk around the shopping complex doing window shopping. In the mean time we went to Home Fix, it’s a home improvement and accessory shop.

So i bought some drill bits and a tool box to keep my tools in one place. After walking around for a long time we head over to the coffee beans to have some coffee .. Woohoo..

The cheese cake was way nice but for sure it’s high on calorie and should be very fattening.

When we were walking around the place we saw a Fashion Show event is going on there .. We head back to Dani’s place after doing all this shopping .. Thanks to Dennison for the Dinner and the Coffee things.. Cause he paid for all the foods so next time i got to do like that also, lol.
