Earth II Found

newearth The first planet that could support life as we know it outside our solar system has been discovered.

A team of European astronomers say they have detected a rocky world, possibly only 50 per cent larger than the Earth, circling a small red star called Gliese 581, 20.5 light years away in the constellation Libra.

What makes the discovery so important is that the planet orbits in what astronomers call the "Goldilocks zone" – where makes it neither too hot, nor too cold for life.

Astronomers have found more than 200 planets circling other stars, but, until now, all have been unsuitable for life because they are either massive gas balls, resembling Jupiter, that circle scorchingly close to their parent, stars, or have eccentric orbits that take them out into the bitterly cold depths of space.

The newly found "super-Earth," about five times more massive than our planet, is 14 times closer to its star than the Earth is from the sun. As a result, its year lasts only 13 Earth days. It has been named , named 581 c.

However, because the star is only a third the mass of our sun, it is also much cooler.

Astronomers estimate that the world's surface temperature would therefore be between 0 and 40 degrees.

"Water would thus be liquid," one of the discoverers, Stephane Udry, from Switzerland's Geneva Observatory, said.

"Models predict that the planet should be either rocky – like our Earth – or covered with oceans."

1st Death Anniversary of beloved Kafee Billah

Dr. Kafee Billah and his family

Dr. kafee Billah my beloved idol and my close cousin passed away while working in his newly joined company at United States last year. He was extremely meritorious, wise, calm, open hearted, intelligent and peaceful personality. I should refer him not one in a million but one in a billion. He was a PhD holder along with so many other degrees and studies. His love life is a true inspiration for me, he showed what love can be and he proved love marriages are the best thing that could ever happened to a mans life. He proved that he is immortal in our hearts every moment. People said those who are valuable they wont stay in this mortal world for long but yet i don't believe it's his time to go.

On 18th April 2006, Kaafee Billah, 39, phoned for help 40 minutes after he started work at the medical company MedImmune Inc. on Tuesday morning, but almost 10 hours passed before cleaning staff found him lying on the floor of his office, the Washington Post reported Friday. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Billah," said MedImmune spokeswoman Lori Weiman. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family." Billah was an immigrant from Bangladesh who received a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Cornell University in 2002. "He was a good student," said William H. Lesser, chairman of the university's Department of Applied Economics and Management. "I know he kept in touch with the department on occasion."

I miss his presence and i am so hurt today when i think about the 4 year old child who still waits for her father that he will come back one day. I never saw anyone hurt and shocked so much as my Cousin's Wife herself. It's unbelievable and it's painful.

Happy Independence Day

[MA Hannan] Soon after the Pakistani army crackdown on the night of March 25, 1971,the first declaration of independence was made over the radio by M. A. Hannan. Very few people heard this declaration and Major Zia's famous "Ami Major Zia Bolchhi" declaration over Chittagong radio on March 27 was picked up by foreign news agency and was given wide publicity.

The first declaration

[First Broadcast in bengali]

In English

"Today Bangladesh is a sovereign and independent country. On Thursday night West Pakistani armed forces suddenly attacked the police barracks at Razarbagh and the EPR headquarters at Pilkhana in Dhaka. Many innocent and unarmed have been killed in Dhaka city and other places of Bangladesh. Violent clashes between EPR and Police on the one hand and the armed forces of Pindi on the other, are going on. The Bengalis are fighting the enemy with great courage for an independent Bangladesh. May God aid us in our fight for freedom. Joy Bangla."

Zia's declaration

[Outside of the Kalurghat Station]
[The historic Kalurghat radio station]

At 7:45 pm on 26th March 1971, Major Zia broadcast the message which became historic in the struggle for independence.

"This is Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra. I, Major Ziaur Rahman, at the direction of Bango Bondhu Mujibur Rahman, hereby declare that the independent People's Republic of Bangladesh has been established. At his direction, I have taken command as the temporary head of the republic. In the name of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, I call upon all Bengalis to rise against the attck by the west Pakistani Army. WE shall fight to the last to free our motherland. By the grace of Allah, victory is ours. Joy Bangla."

The Kalurghat Radio Station's transmission capability was limited. The message was picked up by a Japanese ship in Bay of Bengal. It was then re-transmitted by Radio Australia and later by the British Broadcasting Corporation.

March 26, 1971, is considered the official Independence Day of Bangladesh and according to all Bangladeshi sources, the name Bangladesh was in effect henceforth. Even the Indian PM, Indira Gandhi openly referred to it as Bangladesh. Certain sources, especially of Indian and Pakistani origin, continued to use the name "East Pakistan" until the following 16 December.

Footnote: We need more young encouraged peoples to bring our country up to a different level. So many people sacrificed their lives on 1971 just to make us what we are today. Yet we should start learning to think about everything as a global representation of the country.

Bengal Tiger Kids Stuns Indian Pro Cricketers

A very young bunch of Bangla Royal Tiger Kids won over the cricket match with Professional Indian Cricket team.. Wow.. Thats a news of course. WAAY to go BOYZ..

Bangladesh pulled a stunning five-wicket upset over India at the World Cup, with teenage (17 – 21 years old) batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Sakim Al Hasan scoring important half-centuries.

Pace bowler Mashrafe Mortaza's four-wicket burst pierced through India's famed batting order to bundle it out for 191, its lowest total against Bangladesh, before the young batsmen took center stage.

Bangladesh lost five wickets reaching the victory target of 192 with nine balls to spare, posting the first major upset of the current World Cup.

The players from India, the 1983 World Cup winner and 2003 finalist, had to stand back and watch as Bangladesh players celebrated its first victory in the World Cup in eight years.

"This win has given a fair chance to qualify for the second round. This is a great day for Bangladesh cricket," Bangladesh captain Habibal Bashar said. "We would like to dedicate this win to our friend Manjural Islam."

Players from both squads observed two minutes' silence before the match in honor of test player Manjural, who died Friday in a traffic accident in southwestern Bangladesh.

Left-arm spinner Manjural, 22, played six tests and 25 limited-overs internationals, but did not make Bangladesh's 15-man World Cup squad.

As for Malaysian Peoples.. They don't know what Cricket is actually yet Malaysians Play Football. LOL. Anyway Bangladesh Enlisted in World Cup where Malaysia is NOT
Some Snaps to see

Thoughts:
I"M hoping and praying that the winning WONT overcome and overdose the arrogancy which might infect the young minds of our country peoples. Just make us proud to be what we are boyz.
