Did you had problems setting up PHP on a Windows server which is running IIS and also running a SMTP server inside IIS? Have you faced problems sending mail from PHP scripts running on IIS server with IIS SMTP engine? By default IIS doesn’t allow relaying SMTP mails if it comes from 3rd party products. So this problem is related to IIS SMTP “Relay Restrictions”. Sometimes some of my clients are using PHP on windows servers using IIS 6 as the web server. In linux PHP supports native sendmail system from the OS itself. But in windows you need to tweak your way to make PHP able to send out mail from localhost. If you are a .Net developer, you might already know that from ASP.Net codes or even Classic Asp code it’s just as simple as 1,2,3 to send out email or use the IIS local SMTP server. Let me make it simple for you, so that you guys can make use of the localhost server from PHP.

There are a lot of multi protocol messengers around such as Pidgin, Miranda and Trillian. Yet this new piece of work beats almost every other messenger on the scene. Digsby is not only a multi messenger client, it also integrates various social networking services and e-mail notification protocols. Yes it’s finally possible to have your facebook, notifications, myspace notifications, gmail alerts, hotmail notifications and yahoo mail notifications. For E-mail notifications it can archive, make a email read and delete without leaving the messenger. Facebook chat is available and also it’s easy to post updates to your twitter account. I remember when I was a young boy I did finish all my homework and pray to the clock to reach faster to 9PM. Why? My Dream show on TV, what else. I’ve been fan for technology, robots, aerospace and any Sci-Fi all my life. It was like if I miss one episode then life would be meaningless. Anyway I remember one day I was with my mom and dad, attending a social party. Later on I fall asleep and my mom was carrying me back home and I was dreaming of driving KITT while my mom was carrying me. In fact it did make strong impression on my mind that I was shadow driving the car. Yeah I know it’s hilarious but I would give anything to go back to that time.
