Yes they are almost global already

  • Appspy Iphone

Hands down the iPhone is the best smartphone for social media. I have had both the iphone and blackberry and always had issues with the blackberry.

    I think Nokia N8 could have a better look…

Great list. I wanted the Motorola Milestone before but a friend got it and had some problems with it so I changed my mind. Now another friend of mine is using the HTC Desire and he loves it; but I am not a big fan of Touch keyboards, I need a tactile QWERTY keyboard for my social communications…. Which is why now I am waiting for HTC Desire Z =D which should be as great as the HTC Desire and even better with a QWERTY keyboard!

I have my eyes on the Motorola DROID and Milestone. It looks way too cool and it's fantastic, really

Glad you're checking out the alternatives to iPhone.

I'm looking for an alternative smartphone with decent social media features. Am pissed with Apple for reason of being a first generation supporter of iTouch that happily used tho now almost a door stop cause unable to upgrade to iOS4… lot of upgrades for its apps getting less and now starting to do their dysfunctional ways..even tho jailbreak can some of iOS4 features.

Hence why I am here; getting info for alternatives =) Are their any phone/software preferences out there for the usual social media with compatabilities, ease of use, reliability?

    Cheers

HD2 works pretty well but still the hardware requirement is high. Personally, i think that the windows phones are not that bad … also they came way before iPhone hype or even android .. they just require stronger hardware backbone..

wow..i like it looks too cool and fantastic..

What do you think of the HTC HD2? Do you think it's all it's hyped up to be or is the Windows 6.5 a shutdown trap like other PC forms of Windows has been?
    Just curious.
    Thanks!

Yes HTC Touch Pro 2 maybe slow and overpriced but still you can make it work. Most people think Windows Phones are bad but actually Windows Phones require more hardware power such as processor and RAM.. That is always an issue. I am looking into Windows Mobile 7 platform which has some pretty promising performance features.

  • http://www.ruhanirabin.com/ Ruhani Rabin

Battery life is always limited with smartphones due to application usage… =) I'm glad you liked this listing!

  • http://twitter.com/kcb704 Katay Bouttamy

This is an awesome roundup of phones..and I'm glad Droid Incredible is the top of the list! I finally dropped my addiction with Blackberry (storm2) and have never looked back! The speed is amazing and you just can't go wrong with Flash on mobile web browsing. My only complaint is battery time but that's a given with all smartphones.

I lug around the HTC Touch Pro 2 which is a great phone with amazing features. I sometimes feel like it needs some shoulder straps so I can wear it like a backpack. It is a bit slower than the average $800 phone, but forces me to think about a tweet longer while I wait. If I want to use Qik to catch something on the playground, there is always the next time. When I want to read my RSS … well, it will still be news to me … tomorrow.

There you have it. I use the HTC Touch Pro 2 because it is slow and overpriced. The truth is that is really has incredible features, as long as you are patient with it.

I would agree you on that … I'm using bold and it's pretty much difficult to let go of Blackberry (no i am not letting it go) :) on the other hand HTC provides pretty neat powerful phones.. =)

I have no personal issues with iPhone.. I just think that others should have fair chances. I like your honesty bro, thanks a lot.

  • LXLEE

I'd go for the iPhone ;) I believe it's more promising in terms of apps that I have tons to choose from. I could go on more :) I'm an Apple fan but given the choice from above, I'll have a hard time choosing either HTC Incredible for the beast inside it, or Blackberry Bold 9700 as for mainly it's BBM since most of my friends are using a BB.

    • http://seattledesigner.blogspot.com/ Terri

Alex, you and I are on the same page here :-)

  • http://www.ruhanirabin.com/ Ruhani Rabin

Maybe Motorola should get their lesson… but a lot of people actually habituated with non standard keyboards when they use it for a while.. overall hard to beat the comfort of blackberry ;)

  • http://stores.ebay.com/ModelSupplies ModelSupplies

Nice~! I wish the Motorola Milestone had not put the keyboard off-center like that. Why do companies keep doing that? I would have bought the first Google phone if the keyboard was centered & even on both sides to hold while texting =)

Time for a new phone! lol
