I have used all of the above, as well as some more expensive software. Only to dump it all for FastStone. http://www.faststone.org/
As a professional photographer that shoots in RAW, speed and reliability is a must. FastStone has never crashed or frozen. It also offers batch processing for renaming, resizing, etc. Give it a shot.

I download pics from webshots. I don't want to convert the WB1 files.

I need a program to organize the jpgs by file name and folder. The file name is in the webshots pic folders. It would be nice if I can organize them by name on my own.

I don't need the WB1 webshots pic converted as I dont download them.

Nice roundup.
I use XnView for years and find it so handy to manage and process image. Picasa is a little bit difficult for me, but it can upload and synch photos to my picasa accounts but I stop using it recently. I use Windows Live Writer and thanks goodness, it automatically upload all my photos in the post.

Thanks. I downloaded the new version this weekend. It works great. but they aren't writing the faces tags to the tag attribute so you can't see the face tags in other applications

i know these are all for personal photo organising and sharing but what about professional file sharing?
